Environmental Policy

Hopson Brothers Services have a big commitment, as we all do, to protect our environment. As a conscious contractor we have adopted policies, procedures and processes to mitigate against risk of potential damage to our environment. 

All of our projects are managed by one of the Hopson Brothers to ensure all works carried out by us are done so using products, techniques and procedures to minimise environmental impact for the benefit of all.

We are committed to working with our customers, supply chains and subcontractors to achieve continuous improvement of environmental sustainability performance.

HBS aim to comply with all applicable legislation, codes and good practice pertaining to sustainability, and in particular will focus on:

• Ensuring adequate resources remain available to deliver works in such way to pose minimum potential risk to the environment. 
• Ensuring the understanding and co-operation and involvement of all staff, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Continually reviewing procedures which have the potential risk to damage the environment.
• Improving staff environmental awareness.
• Maintaining and improving environmental sustainability performance.

HBS will at all times minimise its environmental impact by:

• Minimising waste generation and disposal to landfill by reuse and recycling.
• Disposing of any contaminated waste through appropriate registered waste facilities.
• Preventing pollution and reducing our carbon footprint and the consumption of energy and water from both site and office-based activities.
• Using products manufactured from sustainable or recycled materials where possible.
• Conserving natural resources and minimising the use of harmful and non-biodegradable substances.
• Remaining aware and considerate to wildlife and ecology.

Hopson Brothers Services sustainability performance and effectiveness will be regularly monitored, reviewed and updated.
